Premiere: Amela’s Push & Pull live video and tour dates
Following the successful release of her first album, Better Off, Bosnian born and Gold Coast based songstress Amela is continuing this momentum with a further glimpse into her mysterious forthcoming album, Somewhere In Between, out February 18.
Building upon her stripped back sound, Push & Pull is driven by a chorus of delicately strummed acoustic guitar chords, wonderfully accented by Amela’s warm voice that glides effortlessly through the melodies. Her sublime harmonisation makes is hard not to get the odd goose-bump.
Recorded at the Burrow Studio alongside co-producer and session sound engineer Josh Wilkinson, she revelled in the easy-going and natural method of recording.
Somewhere In Between is set to be her boldest release yet, pushing the boundaries of both style and genre, adding a range of strings, trumpets, clarinets, synthesisers and even a slide guitar, to her uniquely rustic, eclectically mixed sound.
On top of the release, Amela is about to embark on an East Coast tour covering Melbourne, Brisbane, Robina and Maroochydore starting on the 5th of March.
