Lust for Life: a Tribute to Iggy Pop @ The Triffid, 9th August

You should know by now that we love a good tribute. This event is a full on tribute to Iggy Pop and will feature a slew of  band members/bands dedicated to giving you the best of the godfather of punk. Each band will feature four Iggy Pop songs and two originals. Bands performing on the night include; Ciggy Pop, (_FAT_), The Stress of Leisure, The Bear Hunt, and Dr. Bombay. O.K #6 @ Woolly Mammoth, 11th August

Basically, this is a free Thursday night party, and we recommend you attend it. O.K #6 is set to be an incredible night of free live music with some groovy, groovy vibes. MMVAF Official Launch Party 2016 @ Woolly Mammoth, 11th August

As you may know, the Maroochy Music and Vis Arts festival is coming up soon.  Here is an event that will either get you excited for the event or convince you to buy yourself a ticket. The Halls ‘City Lights’ Single Launch @ The Zoo, 12th August

The Halls are launching their new single, and they’re bringing some special guests. If you haven’t heard of the Halls, they are an atmospheric band who are trying new things in the genre. This event will mark the launch of their new single ‘City Lights’, is more ambitious and less ‘poppy’ than their earlier track, a real step forward in the progress of the band. Cheers G’Day, Scraps, VOIID & OJ Mengel @ Trainspotters, 13th August

If you are a fan of Brisbabes or haven’t had the chance to check it out, then this is the event for you. This event will feature four killer Brisbane bands, and will pack a load of power from both genders. Big Metal Sunday #7 @ New Globe Theatre, 14th August

Big Metal Sunday is exactly what the same suggests, a Sunday filled with the best in up-and-coming metal bands. On Lock Club @ The Foundry, 14th August

On Lock Club is a new innovation looking at changing the way we party. After the recent lockout laws were introduced Control believed it was time to create an event that would allow us to party despite the restrictions. On Lock Club is a day/evening rave that features live music.
