Born Joy Dead are launching their new single, Sourdough, that comments on the frustration of consumerism and money as well as working to do what you love. New Farm Records are partnering with Newcastle-based No-Fi Records to put on a killer show. This event features a handful of awesome local bands who are ready to rock your world. UBERfest @ The Back Room, 4th September

This festival is for lovers of independent bands. UBERfest is back for its 8th season and is promising big things for the Brisbane installment. The ten hour gig will showcase over thirty bands and offers something for everyone. And even better, this festival is one of the cheapest you’ll come across! The New Wave @ The Woolly Mammoth, 6th September

A fresh line-up full of new wave hip-hop music is coming to Brisbane. These are the artists paving the way for new hip-hop artists in Australia and trust me, the line-up is awesome. The Night Before Bigsound @ The Foundry, 6th September

As the name suggests, The Foundry are putting on a show to celebrate the start of Bigsound festival in Brisbane.
