Atomic Soda @ The Brightside, 22nd July

The Brightside is curating a brand new night for all hip hop aficionados. Beginning with a bevy of local hip hop talent and continuing with that boom-bamp goodness on the decks until the wee hours.  The first night of Atomic Soda brings you  heavy hitter Carmouflage Rose, local favourite Erik Sanders, Byron local Leeze The Kid and Brisbane-born Travy P. Yumo rounds it off with a DJ set in the beer garden. Don’t miss it from 9pm Friday 22nd July.

Tim Sparks Fire @ Woolly Mammoth, 22nd July

A night of diverse genre-splitting acts at Woolly Mammoth with a headlining debut from the up-and-coming talent that is Tim Sparks Fire.  Bringing a full band sound to his soulful acoustic tracks for the first time, the four piece will be joined by alt-rock outfit Sunhaus, ambient/post-rock Jojan, and the talented soul infused acoustics of Lachy Lyne. Doors open 8pm Friday 22nd July for an eclectic night of cross-pollinating sounds.

Soviet X-Ray Record Club ‘This Girl’ Tour @ The Brightside, 29th July

Plug yourself into the reverb-soaked energy of Soviet X-Ray Record Club as they bring their pulsating live show to the Brightside on Friday 29th July. The first show on their This Girl East Coast Australia tour, the band will also premiere new live material from their latest EP. Arrive early for Sydney-sider’s Hedge Fund, and talented locals Big Band Echo and Max Chillen + the Kerbside Collective for a night of ear-drenching goodness.

The Bearded Lady in West End brings you a Noah’s Ark of Belligerent Goat, Walking Bird, Black Sun and Melbourne’s A Basket of Mammoths for an entrancing concoction of rhythm and harmony.
