We Lost The Sea

We Lost The Sea’s Debut Headline Tour

Sydney based sextet We Lost The Sea are embarking on their debut national tour, performing their instrumental album Departure Songs in full with a stunning lineup of local supports in each location. Having previously supported the likes of This Will Destroy You and Mono, the boys are now taking the spotlight and headlining nine shows across Australia.

Departure Songs was written following the tragic loss of their lead singer and best friend, Chris Torpy. Instead of finding a replacement vocalist, the band chose to continue creating music in his name, allowing them to cultivate a new album which details an entirely instrumental endeavour inspired by failed, yet epic journeys and events. If you are yet to be captured by We Lost The Sea’s sound, this tour presents the perfect opportunity to dive in.

We Lost The Sea’s catalogue features saturated walls of crushing guitars combined with post-rock ambience. It’s unapologetically experimental and engulfed with emotion — an experience. Graced with the title of “best Australian performance of the year” by Triple J’s The Racket in 2013, this tour is an must see event.
