The Brisbane Folk Club, coming 2nd December

As if there wasn’t already an incredible amount of live music planned for the summer months, there is a new monthly event coming to Brisbane. There is no better way to cure your hump-day blues than with some good quality folk music, and this event is the perfect mid-week pick-me-up.

The Brisbane Folk Club will be hosted by Paper Shoes Music at the Foundry on the first Wednesday of every month starting 2nd December. The event will be headlined by recent BIGSOUND performer Ben Salter.

Salter (Giants and Science) will play songs from his new record, The Stars My Destination before Neighbour, the folk singer-songwriter Ryan Nebauer, takes the stage. Last on the list is Marcus Blacke, a gold coast singer-songwriter whose music can only be described as guitar-style southern folk.

With tickets only $15 there is no better way to spend the first Wednesday of each month than with a little bit of groovy folk music at the Foundry. For more information check out the Facebook event here.
