The venues for this year’s event have also been revealed, including Brisbane institutions like Black Bear Lodge, The Zoo, and Woolly Mammoth. This latest unveiling of artists has rounded out what is set to be the biggest and most eclectic lineup in the history of BIGSOUND Live.
The event covers two days, running from 9-10 September. In previous years, it has played host to now internationally-renowned artists including Courtney Barnett and Flume, making the mini-festival an exciting couple of days and perfect launching pad for the next big Aussie act.
In addition to the showcase of live bands that make up BIGSOUND Live, the event will also feature a conference with keynote speeches from a variety of musicians and industry professionals. This year’s lineup of speakers includes former Midnight Oil frontman Peter Garrett, American hip-hop artist Brother Ali, and Senior Editor of Pitchfork Jessica Hopper.
