BIGSOUND 2014 line-up announced

Brisbane music festival, BIGSOUND, has dropped its first live line-up announcement for 2014, and we are pleased to say it’s packed full of goodies.

Organisers have pulled no punches when it comes to lining up acts for this years event, with the likes of Gold Fields, KINGSWOOD, and Deep Sea Arcade taking to the Fortitude Valley stages on September 10 and 11.

They’ll be joined by over 80 more acts including garage-poppers DMA’s, hip-hop master REMI, and beat-loving babe Alison Wonderland. Set over two nights, across 14 venues in the Valley live music precinct, BIGSOUND will this year see the site map expand north to venues such as The New Globe and Crowbar. In addition to this, they’ll welcome a new outdoor venue behind Brightside and Magic City – a solid reminder of the need to accommodate so many new and varied artists.

“The diversity and talent in BIGSOUND’s line-up gets richer and deeper each year,” said programmer Nick O’Byrne. “With more than 80 artists still to be announced there’s no doubt that those two nights in September will be the single best festival of new Australian music we’ve ever had”.

The event will once again welcome back the triple j Unearthed stage, which last year showcased Brisbane bands MTNS and Major Leagues to packed out crowds in Oh Hello.

BIGSOUND Live tickets are now available for $69+bf from OzTix, giving you wrist-band access to all live venues over the two nights. Or, if you’d like full access to the entire BIGSOUND experience including conference and party entry, head on over to the BIGSOUND website for your special rate tickets.

In the meantime, check out the full line-up below, and prepare your dancing shoes for what’s predicted to be the raddest BIGSOUND yet.
